13-year-old  Ryan Brooks of Rogers is a contestant in the 25th annual Youth Talent Contest can do things with a yo-yo many of us can’t even imagine.

Ryan says he’s been learning yo-yo trick for about two and a half years.

Ryan even wears a glove when he’s doing the tricks so he won’t wear the skin off his hand.  The string just would work a blister on his hand if he wasn’t wearing it.

Most of the people in the Youth Talent Contest are singers and musicians, so he’s a nice addition to the competition.

You can catch Ryan at the contest Semi-finals on Saturday, September 22.

Semi-finals will be hosted by 5NEWS Chief Meteorologist Garrett Lewis on Saturday, on the Choctaw Casino Stage at the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair at Kay Rodgers Park in Fort Smith.

Our judges will pick 15 finalists to perform on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Harper’s Stadium. 5NEWS Anchors Daren Bobb and Ashley Beck will emcee the event.
