Poteau Man Dead in Single Car Accident

A Poteau man died this morning when his car ran off a LeFlore County, Okla., road and crashed.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the man as Justin Ward, 24.

He was driving a 2004 Kia on Old Highway 112 when the car left the road, ran into a ditch, hit a power pole and overturned. Ward was pinned underneath. Rescue crews found him dead at the scene, according to a police report.

It happened about 7:45 a.m. Saturday a mile east of Poteau.
