Full-power has been restored on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.

University of Arkansas Associate Vice Chancellor, John Diamond said power was restored to all buildings around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

According to Steve Voorhies, University of Arkansas Manager of News and Media Relations, around 9 a.m. Monday a construction accident on campus has forced some professors to cancel class.

Voorhies said a high voltage line was cut on campus and crews are working right now to restore power.

Some buildings still have power at this time.

“The university has not canceled classes but professors can cancel classes on their own,” Voorhies said.

He said the university is sending out a message explaining what happened.

Power was restored to all but six or seven buildings on campus by 10 a.m. Full power is expected to be restored by 10:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
