Police: Fayetteville Man Sexually Assaulted 5-Year-Old Girl

Police on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old Fayetteville man, alleging he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl, according to a preliminary report from the Fourth Judicial District prosecuting attorney.

Robert Lee Young, booked into the Washington County Detention Center at 8:33 p.m. Sunday, faces a second-degree sexual assault charge, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website.

The girl told authorities at the Children’s Safety Center in Springdale that Young sexually assaulted her at least twice, the report states.

Fayetteville officers responding to a fight at a soup kitchen Sunday located and arrested Young, according to the report.
