A Washington County couple was arrested in a police sting after officers say they discovered a meth lab in their mobile home.
Jeffery Murray, 47, and Della Olive, 42, were arrested Monday on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday night on $10,000 bond each.
A criminal informant outfitted with an audio device bought methamphetamine from Murray and Olive on two separate occasions using $200 in local Drug Task Force money, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Drug Task Force members later searched the couple’s home in Lincoln and found a meth lab, complete with tubing from a hydrochloric acid generator, soda bottles, drain cleaner, camping fuel, a xylene solvent and wet coffee filters with a brown sludge inside, according to an arrest warrant affidavit from the Washington County Circuit Court.
Murray and Olive were not home at the time and were arrested later.
