Car Dealership Employee Stole Parts, Sold Them On eBay, Police Say
An employee at a Springdale car dealership was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing more than $25,000 from the business.
Police said Jacob Daniel Woods, 27, kept money from Heartland Honda car parts sold on eBay. An investigation revealed $25,808.66 worth of parts missing from the business, according to the Springdale Police Department.
Woods, of Lowell, was arrested in connection with felony theft of property. He was released from the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond Thursday afternoon.
The investigation stemmed from a theft of property report another employee filed with police concerning Woods on Aug. 1.
