One Hospitalized; I-540 Traffic Slowed By 3 Crashes

Three separate car crashes slowed traffic on Interstate 540 near Rogers and Springdale on Thursday afternoon.

Trina Gaithe, 38, of Van Buren was hospitalized in a multiple-car wreck near the Wagon Wheel Road exit in Springdale, according to the Arkansas State Police. Gaithe was transported to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, where she was treated and released, according to a hospital official.

No one was injured in a motorcycle crash in the southbound lane of the highway, near Rogers. Only one vehicle was involved, and the motorcyclist refused to let police fill out a crash report, state police said.

There was only minor property damage in another car crash on the interstate near Springdale. No one was injured.
