A 13-year-old McCurtain, Okla., boy died Saturday in what family and friends are calling a “freak accident,” according to a report from the Stigler News Sentinel.

Family members found Jacob Myers dead on a tire swing in the yard Saturday, Haskell County Emergency Management Director Angela Hensley told the newspaper Monday morning.

“As I understand it, his chin was on the tire, like he’d slipped and caught his chin because it was wet,” Hensley said. “We believe it was an accident.”
