Trucks Collide, Send 2 To Hospital
A traffic crash in Fort Smith sent a man and a woman to the hospital Monday night.
A white pickup truck and a red pickup truck collided near Towson Avenue and Zero Street at 8:41 p.m., rolling the red vehicle onto its side. The man in the red truck was temporarily trapped, but was freed through the back window, according to Fort Smith police.
The man was treated at the scene for a non-life-threatening injury to his leg and was later taken away by an ambulance, police said.
A woman, the passenger in the white truck, was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman’s husband told 5NEWS he was driving the vehicle when the red truck suddenly pulled in front of him. He tried to avoid a collision, but the two vehicles crashed into each other, the husband said.
