A Springdale woman was killed early Friday afternoon after a head-on collision in Madison County.
Phyllis Kettleman, 84, died when the Ford F-150 pickup truck her husband was driving collided with two other vehicles on U.S. Highway 412 at about 12:50 p.m, according to Arkansas State Police.
A flatbed Dodge Ram truck crossed over the center lane and struck the truck Kettleman was riding in head-on, police said. The driver of the Dodge was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one was injured in a blue Ford Taurus also involved in the crash, a police trooper said.
Traffic was temporarily shut down and re-routed while the scene was being cleaned up. The roadway re-opened to traffic at about 3 p.m., according to the Arkansas State Highway Transportation Department.
