Hogs End Skid, Beat Auburn On Road
Arkansas’ losing streak finally came to an end.
The Razorbacks forced five Auburn turnovers and scored 14 fourth quarter points to pull out a 24-7 road win.
Arkansas (2-4, 1-2 SEC) allowed 320 yards of offense but picked off three passes, including two in the end zone to prevent any chance of an Auburn (1-4, 0-3) comeback.
Tyler Wilson threw for 216 yards on 20-of-27 passing. Brandon Mitchell threw a 26 yard touchdown pass on his only attempt.
Shiloh Christian graduate and Auburn quarterback Kiehl Frazier was 9-of-14 passing for 118 yards and an interception before being benched at halftime.
Dennis Johnson led Arkansas with 76 yards rushing and two scores. Knile Davis rushed for minus-4 yards on three attempts. Cobi Hamilton led the Hogs with 72 yards on four catches. Emory Blake led all players as the Tigers’ receiver had 11 catches for 130 yards and a third quarter touchdown.
Arkansas continued to struggle on third down, converting just 3-of-12, and still turned the ball over twice. The Hogs defense had forced just two turnovers all season picked off the same number of passes in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
