A Benton County man received a 70-month prison sentence Tuesday in federal court for child pornography charges.

Carmen Boche-Perez, 54, of Lowell, was also ordered to pay a $12,500 fine and will undergo five years of supervision following his release from prison, according to federal prosecutors. His prison sentence comes without parole.

Boche-Perez was caught with DVDs of minors engaging in sexual activity while he was crossing over from Mexico to the U.S. in 2010, investigators said.

Homeland Security agents later searched Boche-Perez’s home in Lowell and said they found a DVD containing several video clips of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in May.
