Arkansas Baseball Has Bragging Rights on the Line in Cardinal-White Series

The Diamond Hogs are currently holding their Cardinal vs. White inter-squad series at Baum Stadium.  The series is a time for the players and coaches to evaluate areas that need improvement in order to get ready for the spring season.

“We want to get better offensively and I think we need to get better in our line-up and I know we will,” said Coach Dave Van Horn.

Last year’s team made an incredible post season run.  The Razorbacks made it all the way to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.  This year’s team is looking to start off right where it left off last season.

“You need to base your goals on what you did last season,” said sophomore Joe Serrano.  “We were fortunate to make it to the College World Series last season and now we want to win it.”

With last year’s great finish, the team wants to make sure the fans come out and support it right from the start of the season.

“We hope they trust us to get the job done throughout the year,” said Serrano. “If we go through a bad stretch, we will come back and respond”

Diamond Hogs fans can start planning which games they will be attending next spring.  The team released their 2013 schedule Wednesday.
