John L. Smith talks about the game and why the bye week helped Arkansas.
Here are the tidbits from his press conference Thursday:
- Smith knows that Ole Miss and their offense will shock the Hogs defense as they are not used to this type of offensive speed. They have tried to simulate in practice but only the game will tell.
- Ole Miss will blitz the Hogs and Smith is prepared for that but believes that bodes well for their offense and the wide out match ups.
- With such good practices the past two weeks Smith believes they will do well in the game. Big believer in practicing well produces a good game.
- From a coaches stand point, Smith feels a lot more confident in this team this time around going to Little Rock as opposed to last time. Both sides of the ball have improved quite a bit
