Threatened Church Reassures Congregation

Fellowship Bible Church sent an email to its members to reassure them after a recent bomb-threat scare.

The Rogers church was briefly evacuated Oct. 21 after a phoned threat, but Rogers police found no bomb. Dwight Mix, an official with Fellowship Bible Church, said in an email to members that the threat was unrelated to church business or any church member.

Mix also said in the letter that the church’s security officers had taken measures to prevent any future disturbances and to ensure the safety of the congregation. Mix said Fellowship Bible Church officials had met with other church leaders to share lessons they had learned after the incident.
