Woman Accused Throwing Tub of Ice Cream at Clerk
Van Buren Police are looking for a woman accused of throwing a shopping bag of ice cream and candy at a clerk at the Price Cutter in Cloverleaf Plaza.
The incident happened on Aug. 31. The clerk told police that the woman, along with a man, were attempting to purchase a tub of ice cream, plastic reusable containers and a couple bags of M&Ms. When she rang the items up, the total came to $6 which seemed low.
According to police, the cashier noticed the bar codes on the items had been replaced with a less expensive price tag. When she confronted the suspects about it, the woman became irate and threw the bag of items at her, striking her in the face and shoulder, according to a police report.
The suspects left the store and sped away in a green extended cab pickup truck. Police believe the truck may be a Chevy with a busted window on the rear passenger side. A witness was able to get a partial license plate number “406.”
The woman is about 5’3”, average build with sandy blonde hair while the man is about 5’10” with an average build and sandy blonde hair.
