It will be back to business as usual for Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan Wednesday. Dan Coody conceded to the incumbent mayor Tuesday night.

Mayor Jordan’s watch party was held at Mexico Viejo.

“It’s a great feeling tonight, I got to give the credit tonight to three groups, my campaign committee and all the volunteers who held the signs, my family,” he said.

Both Jordan and Coody spent the day campaigning at the poles.

Jordan has been the Fayetteville mayor since 2008.

“We’re going to continue to do what we’ve always done, we’re going to continue to work for the people,” he said.

Coody is a former Fayetteville Mayor. He was in office from 2000 to 2008.

Coody raised close to $30,000 in campaign contributions and Jordan raised around $37,000.
