The Bentonville Square was transformed into a "Toyland" during the last "First Friday" celebration.

“This is a kid extravaganza,” says Daniel Hintz, Downtown Bentonville Inc. Executive Director.

It was a chance for Walmart and its vendors to introduce their new holiday toy lines.

“We have stuff for boys and girl’s specialty toys from princess things all the way to those rumble rough and tough toys for the boys,” adds Hintz.

Some found themselves adding some new items to their Christmas list

“An i-pod touch," says Michael Watson.

The Batmobile and all of Batman’s ride were on the square for everyone to check out.

“I think it's pretty legit," says Jakob Bevill.

From face painting to interactive games of almost every kind, each kid had their favorite part. But no matter what age, it was fun for the whole family.

“We have a lot of family here visiting because they were here for Halloween from Texas and Oklahoma and they just have never seen anything like this, so we're having a lot of fun,” adds David Watson.

There was also a special guest who made an appearance at the event.

“Coco Jones from Radio Disney will be performing; she'll actually will be here on the square signing autographs so you actually can meet her," says Hintz.

The next First Friday isn’t until March, but the lighting of the Square and the opening of the Lawrence Plaza ice skating rink will be November 17th.
