Want your voice to be heard, but don't know how? Here’s some information to help ensure a quick and effective Election Day.

Vote at your polling site on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m in Arkansas.

There are over 100 polling locations in Northwest Arkansas alone. Local county clerks say knowing where to go is key for a faster voting experience.

“You have to vote in the polling location where you live, not necessarily where you are registered,” said Karen Combs, Washington County Clerk. “If you have moved, you will have to go to the new polling location.”

If you have a Voter ID card, it may show your precinct but there are other ways to find out.

“I would make sure that your voting address is correct and has been updated,” said Tena O’Brien, Benton County Clerk. “You can check the address updates by going to www.voterview.org and checking your registration as well as being able to review a sample ballot.”

You must be registered to vote. You must have some form of identification: a valid driver’s license, photo ID, voter ID card, or utility bill are acceptable forms.

If you are already in line at 7:30 p.m. when the polls close, you will still get to vote, according to the clerks.

In Oklahoma polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those registered to vote in the Sooner state can use the State Election Board’s free polling place locator, available online at http://elections.ok.gov (see FAQ section) or http://www.ok.gov/elections/ppl/index.php to determine their polling location. Alternately, voters can also call their County Election Board for personal assistance.
