Fire officials say no one was hurt early Thursday afternoon when a railroad car caught fire in southern Fayetteville.
Crews responded to the call at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cato Springs Road and Razorback Road. Firefighters declared the scene under control at 2:49 p.m.
The fire began when the interior insulation of an abandoned railroad car caught fire. Officials do not yet know what caused the fire, according to the Fayetteville Fire Department.
The fire did not spread to any other structures, and officials are investigating.
