About 40 students were evacuated from a University of Arkansas building Tuesday night after a call to police about a suspicious odor.
Lacquer from woodwork that had been going on at the campus’ architecture field house caused the odor, according to the Fayetteville Fire Department. A student called 911, and firefighters and UA police responded just before 10 a.m.
The building was cleared, and students re-entered within 15 minutes, a fire department battalion chief said.
No one was in danger, and there were no injuries reported, he said.
