For the third straight season, the UAFS men's basketball team found time to give back despite being on the court.
Fans were encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to Friday night's game against Southern Nazarene University and throw them onto the court after the Lions' first basket. All toys were donated to the Salvation Army.
More than 7,500 toys were donated at various schools in Fort Smith and at the game, more than twice as many as in 2011.
UAFS fell to Southern Nazarene, 82-79.
