Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Bust in Fort Smith

Two women were busted with methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Fort Smith Wednesday, police say.

Jessica Chronister, 25, and her passenger Elizabeth Ramsey, 25, were arrested for multiple drug charges including Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

An officer initiated a traffic stop on a 2005 Cadillac, near High and Blair Streets, for no insurance.

Chronister gave consent to search the vehicle. Officers found a small amount of marijuana, approximately 211 grams of suspected meth and $2,400 cash.

Chronister is currently being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center on a $21,000 bond. Ramsey is being held without bond.
