Hogs Cruise Past Delaware State 86-51

The Arkansas basketball team came out firing on all cylinders Saturday night at Bud Walton Arena as they cruised to an 86-51 victory over Delaware State.

The Arkansas basketball team came out firing on all cylinders Saturday night at Bud Walton Arena as they cruised to an 86-51 victory over Delaware State.

Thirteen different Razorbacks scored in the winning effort.  Sophomore BJ Young led all scorers with 19 points.

Delaware State opened the game with a 6-2 lead, but after that it was all Arkansas.  The Hogs closed the first half on a 41-12 run.

“This was a good way to end the non-conference schedule,” head coach Mike Anderson said. “It’s a game where I thought we attacked them offensively and defensively as well. We made shots, and when you make shots it makes a big difference.”

The win is the 5th straight for the Hogs.  They look to keep their red hot play going as they head to College Station on January 9th to open conference play against Texas A&M.
