Here’s a look at the forecast rainfall totals which are possible in the next 5 days.
The heaviest rain is expected to start on Tuesday evening and continue into the day on Wednesday before finally ending from southwest to northeast as the low pressure pulls away from the area.
In general, the higher totals will be focused across the River Valley and the Ouachitas where upwards of 3″ or more could fall. In Northwest Arkansas the totals will be slightly lower but we’re still expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of around 1-3″ on average for the entire area. Looks like a good rain event with a very low severe risk. Also does not appear winter weather will be an issue as temperatures remain too warm aloft and at the surface to support anything frozen.
