Man Taken to Hospital, Baby Uninjured in Two-Car Accident
A two car accident in Van Buren Friday afternoon sent one man to the hospital.
The accident involving a black passenger car and a silver van happened around 1 p.m. on Fayetteville Road in front of Walgreens.
The driver of the black Nissan complained of back and neck pain. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, according to police on the scene. The driver’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Police say a woman and her 18-month-old grandson were in the silver van. Neither of them were injured.
The driver of the black car was trying to pull out of the Walgreens parking lot when the accident occurred. He will be cited for failure to yield, according to police.
