Women Accused of Stealing Credit Cards from Shoppers

Two black women are accused of stealing the wallets of shoppers in Fort Smith. Now police need your help identifying them.

The thefts occurred on Dec. 14, according to a police report.

A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Hobby Lobby on Rogers Avenue. A couple hours later, another woman reported her wallet had been stolen while shopping at Walmart on Zero. Both victims noticed fraudulent charges were made using their credit cards, the report states. Combined about $6,000 worth of fraudulent charges were made with the victims’ accounts.

Police believe the two cases are connected.

They are now trying to identify two black women believed to be between 20-30 years of age. The women are considered persons of interest in the case.

The suspects are possibly driving a black, early 2000 model Chevrolet Blazer with a fake license plate, Arkansas 331 – MSL.
