Hot country sibling trio The Band Perry will perform at the Northwest Arkansas Children Shelter’s 2013 Starlight Gala, Saturday, April 27.

The event sponsored by General Mills will be held at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Proceeds will benefit the private, non-profit organizations efforts with abused and neglected children in the area.

Last year’s Starlight Gala featured Rascal Flatts as the headliner and netted more than $435,000, which is about 15 percent of the Children Shelter’s operating budget, according to officials.

The 48-bed shelter provides 24-hour emergency residential care for children and teens throughout Arkansas who are victims of neglect or abuse. They currently serve about 500 kids a year.
