Rogers Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl

A Rogers man is behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a young girl.

Steven James, 25, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree sexual assault and possession of a controlled substance. He remained Wednesday in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Police said James had inappropriate sexual contact with a toddler-aged girl.

The Rogers Police Department carried out the initial investigation and will forward its findings to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation, police said.
