A fire heavily damaged a home at 1005 Grady Avenue in Poteau on Saturday evening.
Poteau Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 5:40 p.m. and were able to put the fire out fairly quickly but not before the front of the house was badly scorched. Firefighters said it appeared the fire started in the front of the house, either on the porch or front bedroom, and then spread to the rear of the house.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
