The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating a bomb threat that was made at the State Capitol building in Oklahoma City Friday morning.

A female caller phoned 911 around 10:25 a.m. claiming ‘multiple bombs would detonate at 10:30 a.m. at the Governor’s Mansion and other locations,’ according to a news release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Gov. Mary Fallin was notified and ordered an immediate evacuation at the State Capitol. About 1,000 people were in the building at the time. It is Colonial Day at the Capitol where many school children were participating in activities, according to a report from our sister station KFOR

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb techs and other law enforcement searched the Capitol for the reported threat, but found nothing.

The Oklahoma City Police Department interviewed the suspected caller, according to OHP. They said she is believed to be in her 20s and could face charges. But no suspects are in custody at this time.

The building reopened shortly after. Click here to read more from KFOR.com
