How would you like to call the Hogs from a "suite" seat in the end zone?

The University of Arkansas board of trustees picked an architect and contractor to sketch out details to add more premium seats at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

Razorbacks fans have been talking about the possibility of more seats in the north end zone on top of the Broyles Complex for years.

When Jeff Long unveiled the Razorback facilities’ master plan more than a year ago, the north end zone was part of that plan but nothing happened until Friday.

The study approved by the board of trustees will consider design, construction, seating capacity, demand and the economic viability of the project.

The university currently has a waiting list for suites at Razorback Stadium and premium seating is in demand. Depending on the results of the survey, the bleachers seats may be replaced with premium seating.

The study is expected to take four to six months to complete. There is no guarantee the stadium will expand. It all depends on the results of the study.

Officials believe the premium seating and new suites would add additional revenue on game days.

The question Razorbacks fans want to know? How many seats will be added and how many fans will Razorback Stadium hold if the project receives the go ahead?

Nobody knows for sure, that's one of the reasons for the study.

It's safe to say that the university would like to see an additional 4,000-5,000 seats, raising the capacity to about 77,000.

The funding for the study and any potential stadium project will be paid by athletic department money and donations to the Razorback Foundation. No university funds would be used.

If the university believes the project will go forward the board of trustees will make the final decision before the stadium expansion would begin.
