Okla. Teen Shoots Himself in School Bathroom

Two Oklahoma schools were put on lockdown after a 9^th grader committed suicide in a school bathroom Monday morning.

A 15-year-old boy died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, KOTV reports. Police responded to the school just after 8:30 a.m.

Both the high school and intermediate high school were placed on lockdown. All ninth grade students were sent to the high school gym where parents can pick them up.

“We have prepared and planned and trained for incidents like this, and unfortunately a life was lost, but it could have been a lot worse,” Lieutenant Donnie Krumsiek of the Coweta Police Department told KOTV.
