Ten people were arrested and $18,000 worth of illegal drugs seized during a drug bust in Benton County Friday (Feb. 1).

Michael Hill, Dale Shaffer, Jeffery Stout, Melizza Christiansen, Shawn Ewert, Candius Taylor, Sarah Rustin, William Wallace, Donald Eugene Thompson, and Robert Grady were arrested on multiple felony drug charges, according to a report from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Benton County deputies and officials from the Arkansas Department of Corrections conducted a home visit at a residence in Rogers after receiving tips that drug sales and other illegal activities were taking place.

More than 165 grams of methamphetamine, 21 grams of marijuana, 49 prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, packaging material and a loaded 9mm handgun were found in the home.

Deputies also seized $10,859, surveillance cameras, two vehicles and a large flat screen television, according to the report.

More arrests are expected.

This investigation wraps up a busy month for the sheriff’s office’s special operations division, the report states.

"Well, I don't think that we should sugar coat it and say that this is going to stop all the drug activity," Sheriff Kelley Cradduck said. "But it is a dent, it's in the right direction. "

In January, deputies made more than 70 arrests during drug investigations and recovered various illegal drugs and firearms.
