A woman was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 12 E in Rogers Wednesday morning.

Tiffany Crawford, 21, of Rogers, was traveling east in a Toyota 4-Runner when she failed to negotiate a curve and hit a Dodge truck head-on just after 6 a.m., an Arkansas State Police fatality report states.

Once Crawford was removed from the vehicle paramedics did everything they could to save her life.

"Our paramedics went ahead and started CPR and tried to resuscitate her and continued that as they transported her to Mercy hospital," said Bryan Hinds with the Rogers Fire Department.

The other vehicle was driven by Peter Lane, 39, of Rogers, according to the report. He was taken by medical helicopter to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to fair.

Crawford was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, the report states.

The accident left traffic at a standstill on the busy highway during the Wednesday morning commute.
