The teams in the 7A West are jumping for joy that the all-time leading rusher in the conference is graduating. Bentonville running back Tearris Wallace signed to play at Memphis next year.

“My teammates, my coaches, my family and my friends, I can't thank them enough,” said Wallace. “It's been a wonderful journey and to get to this point and being here, college is taken care of. I'm just so happy.”

There was another big time signee out of Sallisaw. Quarterback Ben Oberste will be going to Tulsa. Oberste threw for 46 touchdowns in his career, and we all saw how tough Tulsa played Arkansas. They even made a bowl game this year.

“Here recently they've been on the rise as a football team and a program and I'm excited to be there,” said Oberste. “We're going to do a lot of great things up there.”
