The nutrition experts at Sparks Health System show us how to make a heart-healthy and waist-friendly Valentine's Day dessert.

Happy Heart Brownies (84 calories, 2g of fat)
15 oz canned black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1tsp espresso powder
3 tbsp whole wheat pastry flour
3/4 cup agave nectar
1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract

Blend all dry ingredients together, add agave, vanilla, and butter. Blend until lump free. Preheat oven to 350 and spray 8x8 baking dish. Pour mixture into baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Turn heat down in oven to 300 and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers.

Baked Apple Crisp (103 calories)
1 can of apples with juice
2 tbsp of brown sugar
3 tsp of cinnamon or to taste
1 tsp of cornstarch to thicken
Granola
Whipped Cream

Mix all ingredients until apples are coated. Cook in a large saucepan or skillet over medium heat until sauce thickens. Allow to cook before topping with whipped cream and granola.

Strawberry Mousse (less than 200 calories)
Low fat flavored yogurt
Low fat whipped topping
Fruit such as strawberries

Whip equal parts whipped cream and yogurt of choice until completely blended and fluffy. Layer fruit into the bottom of container. Pipe mousse onto fruit. Repeat layers.
