University of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart will announce a new vice chancellor for advancement during an 11 a.m. news conference Wednesday.

Multiple sources confirm Gearhart’s pick is expected to be Razorback Foundation executive director Chris Wyrick. Before joining the foundation in September, Wyrick worked more than four years in the UA athletic department.

Wyrick came to Arkansas after stops at South Carolina and Vanderbilt. He helped oversee the Razorback Seat Value Plan (R.S.V.P.), which resulted in 2,600 new Razorback Foundation members and generated an additional $6.5 million in athletic department revenue.
