A man was stabbed to death near the intersection of Huntsville Avenue and Morrison Place in Springdale early Wednesday night, according to the Springdale Police Department.

One man is dead with multiple stab wounds, and another man is in custody, police said.

Several police cars were on-scene. A Springdale Emergency Medical Services ambulance responded, but did not transport anybody to the hospital, according to the Springdale Fire Department.

Police received a call at 6:38 p.m. of two men fighting at the location. The caller said one of the men left the scene on a bicycle, possibly with a knife. Officers caught up to a man on a bicycle, who was carrying a knife, said Lt. Dan Hudson with the Springdale Police Department.

Police then responded to the scene of the alleged fight and found a man dead, Hudson said.

A white sheet lay on the ground, covering up a body behind crime scene tape near Latino Tires. Police also blocked off a scene across the street at an old Phillips 66 gas station.
