A toddler was hospitalized Friday after falling and hitting his head at a children’s play house in Springdale, according to the Springdale Fire Department.

The boy was later transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. His parents declined comment when reached by 5NEWS on Saturday.

Emergency crews responded late in the morning to the Monkey House in reference to a 3-year-old boy who had fallen out of an inflatable area and hit his head on the carpeted floor. He was rushed to Washington Regional Medical Center in stable condition, according to Springdale Emergency Medical Services.

The boy’s injuries at the time were non-life-threatening, according to the fire department. A manager of The Monkey House told 5NEWS she couldn’t comment and the business’ owners were out of town on vacation.

A witness told 5NEWS she was at the business with her young daughter when she heard a loud crash. She saw a little boy fall out of one of the bounce houses and hit his head on the floor, she said.
