For the second straight day the Arkansas pitching staff was too much for Western Illinois.
Barrett Astin threw five innings and allowed just one run as the Razorbacks took down the Leathernecks 7-2 at Baum Stadium.
Astin struck out three while walked just one
Arkansas (2-0) has a chance to sweep the series Sunday with the final game set for 1:05 p.m.
Matt Vinson continued his hot start as he had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI for the Hogs. Joe Serrano added two runs batted in, including a run scoring single in a four run sixth inning that blew the game open.
Arkansas will start Trent Daniel in the series finale while the Leathernecks will trot out Mason Pingel.
