Russellville School Bus Rolls Over, Injures Students

The winter weather caused a few non-life-threatening injuries in Pope County on Wednesday afternoon, after a school bus left the roadway and rolled over just outside of Russellville.

Emergency crews responded to the wreck late in the afternoon near the intersection of Alaskan Trail and Yukon Drive, according to Pope County Emergency Medical Services. Three students and the bus driver were rushed to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville with non-life-threatening injuries.

There were seven students on the Russellville School District bus at the time it slid off the road and rolled onto its side, according to the Pope County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office worked the crash.
