Storm Spotter Class to be Held in Poteau

LeFlore County Emergency Management will host a National Weather Service Storm Spotter Training Course at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25.

The course will be held in the Main Seminar Room of the Kiamichi Technology Center Poteau Campus on South McKenna.

The course is free and open to public. Those with an interest in severe weather will learn how to recognize impending severe weather, basic storm structure and safety.

Also, during the course for anyone interested in amateur radio, the Le Flore County ARES/RACES will be displaying amateur radio communications equipment and recruiting new members.
