Bond has been set for two Rogers men facing an attempted capital murder charge after police said they shot into another car.

Douglas Blake Huston and Robert Aaron Thomas, both 18, were arrested and booked into the Benton County Detention Center on Saturday morning, records show. They face felony charges of attempted capital murder.

Huston has a $500,000 bond on the attempted capital murder charge he is facing. He also faces charges of felony discharge of a firearm from a car and committing a terroristic act, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Bond was set for Thomas at $500,000 for the attempted capital murder charge he also is facing, plus another $75,000 bond on a potential charge of driving while intoxicated. He also faces charges of felony discharge of a firearm from a car, minor in possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and committing a terroristic act, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

A police report said that a juvenile male was in a 2000 white Dodge Charger at approximately 11:52 p.m. Friday on West Walnut Street when a black Nissan Pathfinder pulled up beside him. The driver heard a “pop” and the rear passenger window shattered, the report said.

The driver was able to get the license plate number on the Pathfinder and report it to the police, the report said. Neither the driver nor his female passenger were injured.

The report said officers found a bullet hole in the top right side of the driver’s seat and they recovered what they believe was a .45 caliber round from the seat.
