Mansfield’s Taylor Smith Named Miss UAFS

Taylor Smith was named Miss University of Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday night at the Fort Smith Convention Center.

Smith, a junior majoring in media communication, is a 2010 graduate of Mansfield High School. She moves on to compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant in July in Hot Springs.

Smith, 20, won cash, scholarships and prizes worth more than $28,000. She wants to be a morning news anchor after graduation.

Kellie Taylor, 20 of Poteau, Okla., was named first runner-up, and Makayla Jackson, 19 of Muldrow, Okla., was named second runner-up.

The event was emceed by 5NEWS Anchor Daren Bobb.  Daren Bobb even showed off his dance moves as he entertained.  You can check out the video below.
