Two men walked into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office this week and confessed to burglarizing four homes in the southwest part of the county, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Dustin James Patterson, 18, and Shaquille Walkingbear Duncan, 19, entered the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and returned two laptop computers and a DVD player they said they stole in a home burglary, according to an officer’s report from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The two suspects told detectives they stole several items from four home burglaries on Dobbs Mountain Road in southwest Washington County before later selling them, according to the officer’s report. The suspects also said an Adam Achterberg was also involved in the burglaries, the report states.

Both men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of residential burglary and theft of property. Duncan was released Wednesday from the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond. Patterson was released the next day on the same bond amount, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Achterberg, 18, was also arrested on suspicion of the same charges, along with suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. He was released from jail Tuesday on $3,500 bond.
