US Marshals Join Search for Missing Arkansas Girl
The US Marshals service has joined the search for a missing teen in Lawrence County, Ark.
Sidney Nicole Randell, 14, was reported missing to Walnut Ridge Police early Sunday (March 10).
Authorities are asking those who own cabins, farm land, or a hunting club in the area of Walnut Ridge and County Road 438 to check their property and notify them if anything seems suspicious.
Randell’s suspected kidnapper and stepfather, John Cornwell, was found shot to death Monday on a piece of farm land. Investigators now believe the gunshot was self-inflicted, according to a report from KTHV in Little Rock.
State police used a helicopter on Monday to look for Sidney. Search crews are now using four-wheelers, boats, and mules to aid with the search.
Randell is 5’4” tall and 85 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown Aeropostale jacket.
Police fear for her safety, police said.
