Deputies Rewarded for Saving Woman’s Life

Two members of the Benton County Sheriff’s office were honored Thursday (March 14) for their heroic efforts that saved a woman’s life.

Last summer Sergeant Lynn Hahn and Deputy Jason Wood responded to a boating accident on Beaver Lake. They jumped in and rescued a woman who was drowning and only hanging onto debris from the accident.

The Army Corps of Engineers presented them with the “Life-Saving Award.” Each also received $500 from the Law Enforcement Assistance Program.
