Arkansas Evens Series With Ole Miss

Hogs’ bats come to life to knock off No. 8 Ole Miss.

Things went much more according to plan for the Arkansas Razorbacks in game two of a three game set against Ole Miss.

The Hogs (14-6, 1-1 SEC) scored early and often as they posted a 10-1 win against the Rebels in front of a packed house at Baum Stadium.

Randall Fant had one of his best outings as a Razorback as the left hander pitched six innings while giving up just one run on seven hits and struck out five.

Tyler Spoon drove in three runs, including a two run double, to push his team high RBI total to 26.

Mike Mayers was saddled with the loss for Ole Miss (19-2, 1-1)  as he gave up five runs on nine hits while walking three. Mayers did not allow a run to the Razorbacks in more than 13 innings of work last season.

The rubber game of the three game series is set for 1:05 on Sunday (March 17).
