Authorities let residents return to their homes after a grass fire threatened several residences in Greenwood on Saturday afternoon.
The fire, which is still under investigation, burned approximately 30 acres of land and started before 2 p.m. Fire officials said it took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, but the flames reached the backyards of several homes in the Grandview Addition.
No structures were damaged by the flames. Residents were allowed to return home after 4 p.m., officials said.
